The problem
Like me, you've probably found yourself shopping at the same couple of stores over and over again. It's partly convenience. It's partly habit. But it's not all your fault. The internet is working against you. The web is dominated by a few monopolies who make it almost impossible to discover everything available to you. Only stores with massive marketing budgets or strong viral moments get discovered.
Even though it's easy to forget, there are thousands of really cool stores out there. Stores with products that better suit your needs and sell great stuff you might actually love. When you support more stores it means better stuff, better prices, a better economy, and even a better world. And hey, browsing stores is fun.
Shopping is also best when there's a sale, but they're a HUGE pain in the ass to keep track of. You can sign up for millions of marketing emails, follow stores on social, or check them individually, but you're bound to miss stuff. And you'll never know about sales from the stores you don't think to check. That's why Shomp tracks sales everywhere, so you don't have to.
The directory
Online directories may be out of fashion, but they're useful... I promise! Shomp's directory is like a shopping mall's map back when people actually went to malls. The site lists thousands of stores across more than a hundred categories. These stores are well-regarded and sell things you may actually want to check out. There's a voting system in each category, so the most popular stores have a chance to end up at the top.

I do my best to only list good and trustworthy sites, but if you have a concern about any store, please report it via contact and I'll make sure to remove it if it's sketchy.
The sales
Shomp tracks sales across the web. Sales update every morning. Just look for Sale anywhere on the site and click it visit the store's active sale.
Your Following + daily sales email
Folling is an easy way to make your shopping better. It makes it quick to remember the stores you like any time you're ready to shop. Hit the + Follow button on any store or category to get started.
Shomp sends a simple email each morning with new sales at your followed stores and categories. Instead of hundreds of marketing emails, you can just get one good one. If you want to stop or pause the email, you can toggle it on or off any time in your Following.
For store owners
A core goal of Shomp is to help people find and shop at your store. It's so hard to get people to care about your products (guess how I know) and it would mean a lot to me if I could help.
Everything on Shomp is designed to be positive for stores and store owners. For example, there's only an upvote option in categories, no downvotes.
Tell your customers to add your store to their Following and vote for you in categories. It'll help you get more visibility on Shomp and with your customers.

I'm a startup founder based in Los Angeles. I built Shomp because I love finding great stores and deals, especially in categories I care about. I also find myself hating how much the internet has changed for the worse and made it harder to find good things, like interesting stores. Hopefully Shomp can be a small antidote to that.
