I'm in for 2 Adidas terrex speed, they don't have a direct successor for this model. They don't offer much protection on single track trails, but they're grippy and have a lower profile that lessens the chance of rolling your ankle.

i've been on these speed ultras for the last few years. they are the best. now they replaced it with the agravic speed. its not bad. but feels different when standing on them even though they are both 8mm drop. the upper is thinner, overall weight is about the same as the speed ultra. BUT i worry the upper being too thin especially around the ankle area which might cause more rolling ankles. time will tell!!!
i am gonna take the agravic speed for a 20 miler this sat and see how that goes... i am debating on getting the last pair of 10.5 (black $69) ... cheapest i've gotten were like $54 on their website when they still had them...

I was really thinking on the Speed Ultras, but thought too long, and my size is gone. Still eyeing the Hyperion Tempo, though. Seems not to have changed much from that version to its Hyperion successor.

They also have a Saucony Rift for 50% off MSRP. That shoe has Saucony's PEBA midsole. It's a good trail shoe but the heel collar rides high and may cause Achilles irritation for some people.

I have a pair as well once they're good and dirty and you've broken em in, those who don't care for the pink wont see it anymore

Amazon had the speed ultras in my size for $5 more (with free shipping and free returns).

And with 5% CB from discover it's only like $1.25 more.

Would net of these men's sneakers be a good pick for someone with Plantar fasciitis?

The Hyperion is an old school race flat that people used for 5k/10k races before super shoes became a thing for any distance.

Also good for speed work, preferably on the track but not for anyone with medical issues.
